Losing weight – more than just pounds

As you may have noticed, I’m starting to refocus Creative Visions on a problem this society has BIG TIME: too much stuff. It comes in so many forms besides the physical . And what it’s doing is dragging our lives down. It stymies creativity. It causes unnecessary stress. It clogs up the gears of good relationships. And it costs us dearly financially.

OK, so what’s the answer? Obviously to see how to make out lives cleaner, smoother, more creative. And I’m passing along tips on my Facebook page [not what I had for dinner last night!] Things like how to get a better night’s sleep. A technique for gradually reducing the physical clutter that gather in almost all of our homes. Stop by www.Facebook.com/CreativeVisionsAshland and give me a like. I will not clog up your email with more useless garbage, just tips and tricks for you to use to make your life better. You’ll also be among the first to learn about my upcoming free webinar to help you get started.

Feng Shui tips to Sleep Better

Want to Sleep Better?

While there are many reasons why you might not be getting a good night’s sleep, one of them can be the condition of your bedroom.  Let’s do a brief makeover and see what happens. [The most dramatic example of this will be found with the first two pictures on Before and After!]

Clear the clutter.  Unfolded clothes, unread parts of the newspaper, stuff you haven’t put away yet – clear it out.  If you like to read in bed, it’s fine to have 1 book beside the bed – but not 5.  And keep the bookcases out of the bedroom – they’re little energetic fingers pulling at you with all those pages as yet unread.

If you have lots of stuff on the walls, remove most of it. Simplify, simplify, simplify.  Put away or remove more than you’re comfortable having around.  Remove as much visual stimulus as you can and then a bit more.  What we’re aiming for is a Zen room.  When you enter it, you start to relax, because there’s almost nothing there.  Now when you climb into bed, you’re either going to sleep, or become intimate with your partner, or just have a bit of room to decompress.

See if that doesn’t improve your sleep.

Cosmic Balance for the President?

You just saw my posting about lucky charms for 2009, but here’s something that has the hair standing up on my neck.

Take a look at this photo and see if you don’t see what I do:

This photo was taken on Inauguration Day less than one hour before President Obama was sworn in on the steps of the Capitol.  Taken by the GeoSat satellite, it looks amazingly like the Yin/Yang symbol to me.  That ancient symbol represents balance – male/female, night/day.  Seems to me that President Obama has made it a point to seek balance in trying to extricate ourselves from the hydra headed mess the former President left.

From a numerological point of view, his year is a year of moderation.  From an astrological point of view, the wild excesses and unmitigated greed are over and we are entering a new era of much more considered and cautious judgement.  Then this picture appears and it makes me wonder.
